Centre d’art Waza (Patrick Mudekereza)

 

Patrick Mudekereza (born in 1983) is the founding director of the Centre d’art Waza. He has curated exhibitions such as Close Openings/Vernissage Fugaces (Lubumbashi, 2011), Revolution Room (DRC/South Africa, 2016), Aire d’oiseaux imaginaires (Biennale du Congo in Kinshasa, 2019, and Bogardenkapel Brugge, 2019), Kirata (documenta fifteen, Kassel, 2022). He co-hosted the Biennale de Lubumbashi from 2008 to 2015. He has taken part in various educational and publishing project and collaborated with art spaces in in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. He lectures at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Lubumbashi.
